In January of 2010, Haiti was hit with a devastating earthquake. Over 220,000 people lost their lives and over a million were displaced from their homes. As the poorest country in the western hemisphere Haiti is still in need of disaster relief and assistance. Lee Davies is proud to support an upcoming service trip to bring aid and hope to Haiti and its people. Ashley Bay (Office Manager), Jennye Helzer (Broker) & her husband Pete with 12 others will travel to Carrefour, Haiti in November. During this trip they will be working within the boys and girls orphanage, widows home, and training the security teams. Our goal is to bring items to help provide support and relief to the Haitian people. In addition to the items listed below, we will be collecting funds so we are able to hold the Lord’s kitchen open to provide nourishing meals for the children of Grace Village in Carrefour.
- Summer clothing for babies & children of all ages
- Maternity clothes
- Underwear (Ages 4-12)
- Socks
- Shoes, flip-flops, sandals
- School supplies
- Head scarfs
- Hygiene products
- Old suitcases and duffel bags to transport items donated
- Tax-deductible donations to help fund the kitchen
- Craft Project – decorating 250 t-shirts with children. Fabric paints, Sharpies, and other supplies
- Easily transportable sporting equipment such as soccer balls, baseballs & mitts, frisbees, and jump ropes
We will be collecting donations through November 2nd, 2012. Donations can be dropped off 8:30 am – 5:30 pm, Mon – Fri at:
